I have never actually been to the Forest Park bakery, but Silverland desserts are sold at my Naperville Whole Foods store. I sampled the lemon bar and blueberry crumble today, and both were quite good.
The lemon was my favorite, but I am partial to citrus in desserts. A very tart and smooth lemon curd topped with a dusting of sugar and with a thin but rich shortbread crust was just perfect.
The blueberry crumble was pretty good as well, but the blueberry preserves were just a little too sweet and syrupy for my liking.
I ended up buying several lemon bars to share with my family though, and I will definitely look for them next time I'm at Whole Foods. These are the best lemon bars I have had in years!
