HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! I went with my three kids to pick strawberries and were very rudely surprised at the price....$40 for two flats of strawberries!! These same strawberries I know for a fact could be purchased at a farmer's market for $8-$12 a flat. Most berry patches let you pick your own and you buy them by the container in which they come in but at this place they charge by the pound so BEWARE of how many berries you pick. AKA keep it to under a half flat if you want to spend a reasonable amount. What was supposed to be a family fun outing turned out to be a huge expense that left a very bitter taste in my mouth. We won't be returning to Afton Apples and I would advise others to search elsewhere for their fresh fruit and berry picking experiences as well. I would recommend ""The Berry Patch"" in Forest Lake.
