I HAVE TO UPDATE THE LAST REVIEW I POSTED AS I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THE RESPONSE I GOT FROM HMO.
Following my post below, I received a call not only from the Manager at the Atlanta store - but also from Beezer Molton, the owner of the company. He could not have been a nicer guy and was very interested in my experience in his store. He took full responsibility for the show return policy and explained how this came from the hiking boot world and that perhaps they needed to review their policy with regards to these new minimal shoes.
Not only did they accept a return, but they were also gracious, interested and open to discussing the policy. When I went to the store today, the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. I was worried I would be public enemy number one after posting this review on social media.
We also had a great conversation about shoes in general and I was given a lot of info to educate myself on a better selection. And I did find a shoe I liked and will test on the trail this weekend. The Montrail Mountain Masochist.
I am impressed with Beezer, the team in the Atlanta store and Half Moon Outfitters in general. They won back a customer and in fact probably grew my relationship with them.
