Review content:
I really love this place ya'll, it is family owned and the owner, check this out......is usally the cook! She is awesome, makes a damn good breakfast and she is a sweetheart to top it all off. For breakfast try their biscuits and gravy (sausage) with a couple of eggs and a good cup of joe....Get there early b/c the biscuits are fresh and when she sells out of the biscuits, she is out!!....I love the regulars that go there, they help out when they are short staffed...No this is not a fancy schmancy place, and you won't pay an arm and a leg for your food either!! Most entrees are less than $7...but their steaks run a bit more....For lunch I reccommend the fish dinner, the homemade coleslaw is to die for!! Another dinner to try is the meatloaf and the roastbeef manhattan, I dare you to finish one!! For dinner try a steak, handcut with just enough seasoning!! So tender and juicy!! I grew up in southern Indiana and trust me in commiskey there is only one place to eat and that's Lurton's....
Pros: Home cooked taste, cheap prices and the owner is awesome!!
Cons: It can get busy, and you may have a wait on the food, but it won't disappoint...
