Plato's is a great store. \r
The resale niche only allows them to sell items for a fraction of initial resale (which is awesome if you are a customer!). This store also pays cash on the spot, which means that they take on the entire risk for an item if it does not sell. Because of that they typically pay about 10% less than consignment... but you get cash right there.\r
If you don't expect to get all of your money back and go in to sell items that you don't use any more, you will be pleasantly surprised with the amount you get. It's just like selling a used car, the item depreciates one you wear it. The staff has always been straight with me. They will break down the quote by item if you ask and you can take back any items you don't want to sell.\r
I have also NEVER been told to leave items overnight. Quite the opposite. They want you to wait with your items in the store or come back the same day to help with their space limitations. \r
If you wait, most of the time it only takes 20-30 minutes. They get slammed at lunch and right after work, so you will probably have a worse experience if you go then. Call ahead and see how busy they are and what they are looking for. I think you'll have a much better experience. \r
Pros: quick cash, cheap prices, fabulous clothes
Cons: this store has outgrown its space
