This is really 2.5 stars out of 5. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt on this one. I had not been at this Schlotzsky's since Mar 2012. That experience wasn't as good as the one I had when this store first opened back in 1996. At that time, the sandwiches were great--hot and the condiments were just right to make any sandwich (small, medium, large) look like you were really getting your money's worth. Last year, I found the sandwich bread to be to dry and even the added condiments didn't make it any better. Jump to 15 months later and you'll find a store that has been somewhat updated with new menus, paint, and different company that provides their chips. On this occasion, I took my family and some things were clearly missing--besides the normal heavy traffic you would expect on a Friday evening. When we ordered, I didn't realize until after I received my order that you could get wheat bread instead of sour dough. Regular (and I mean regular) customers probably would have had no problems remembering but how about those who don't? The person who took our order on this day didn't inform we of the other type of bread I could have ordered--something that I remember being pretty standard at other Schlotzsky's establishments. The order took about 5-8 minutes which was ok. The table we sat at was a little dirty/sticky. No big deal--we moved to another table. I ordered a couple of small originals, chips, small pizza and four drinks. How little things have changed. Those small originals were really small and the amount of condiments in each of them didn't help either. I might have to purchase some serious prescription glasses and the rate these sandwiches are shrinking in size. It didn't seem like our meals had just come out of the oven--they felt more like room temperature which was a little disappointing to say the least. As mentioned earlier, the amount of condiments were somewhat minimal maybe because of the person who making the sandwiches on this shift. Another person would have probably made them a little differently. I found my sandwich to be a little soggy maybe because of the bread they used. Their prices are still higher compared to places like Subway or Quiznos. In the end, this probably explains why this particular store doesn't get as much traffic as the other 8+ food establishments within the two block radius.
