I am always treated dismissively and unkindly in Wink, and if I can get service at all, it is given reluctantly, rudely, and as if, somehow, I am suspect. I have lived in Santa Fe for years and these experiences stack up.
Once, they took about 6 hours to bleach my hair, and in the end, it turned out orange -- a horrific experience and they made me pay, with no apologies nor sensitivity.
I do like supporting local businesses, but when it comes to Wink, I will be buying my kiehls on line or at the Cosbar. I suggest you do the same. Why be treated so terribly?
