Review content:
After 4 years of decent times at Ivy Hills, I am leaving amidst an eviction of me and my girlfriend. In August of 09, I lost my job and offered to utilize my security deposit and leave. I quickly got another opportunity, and asked if they would work with me. They agreed, and I continued to make rent plus pay additional to pay back the rent I missed in August. In February, they offered to reduce my balance to $0 if I signed a one year lease. I did. They did not. When I got notice of this in June, I saw the zero balance never happened, $50 late fees piling up, and they even increased my rent by $10 (despite being in a one-year agreement). I was told it was a computer glitch. I struggled again, losing my job, but again, finding more work. I asked again if they'd rather have me leave and the office informed me they would work with me. A month ago I receive a 3 day notice to leave. I am vacating, and they are still pursuing an eviction. The personal representing Cornerstone is Brian Forrester, who refused to listen to reason as I explain I have landed a full-time position, brought my girlfriend in to help with rent, etc. His exact words ""I have to take care of my family before I take care of your family."" He is also a right-wing extremist, exemplified by his blogspot posts: briankforrester.blogspot If you're going to be there temporarily, by all means. But if you like to plan for the unexpected, Ivy Hills, or ANY Cornerstone community, is not for you.
