Review content:
My husband and I happened to be in the area and went in this Verizon location to see if they could help with a few items on our cell phones. They took care of that and then we asked about tablets. (We live 50 miles away from here)\r
\r
We were shown a Motorola Xoom refirbished tablet. I asked how old the technology was and was (lied to) told it was about 6 months old. I know that technology changes quickly and didn't want to be stuck with a 2 year agreement for old technology. We bought the tablet.\r
\r
After we were home, we went online to get a cover and accessories. That's when we found out the technology was over a year old!!! Then the tablet stopped working. \r
\r
What a complete hassle to return the thing. Husband drove the 50 miles to return it. We were charged $75 restocking fee and $350 early termination fee. That was after being told the retocking fee was $100, but they would 'cut us a break' and only charge $75. With subsequent calls to this store, EVERY person I talked with (total of 3 from that store) said the restocking fee was $70. I corrected them - oh, yeah - they forgot - it is $75..... yeah, right.....\r
\r
Was told they couldn't waive either the restocking fee or early term fee. We contacted Verizon directly and early term fee refunded. I now want to get the $75 refunded and called the store to get a name to give Verizon.... No name given to me. Waited on hold 5 minutes and gentleman wouldn't give his name. I gave up.\r
\r
Bottom Line: The employees working on April 14, 2012 were not honest. Typical sales sharks. The manager - won't give his name.....
