Review content:
After numerous recommendations, my boyfriend and I finally got around to dining at La Cachette this past Saturday. From the moment we stepped inside this quant yet elegant restaurant we felt right at home. The decor is refined yet comfortable, the service is gracious and attentive and the food is delicious yet light. We started with the napoleon of sauteed foie gras and foie gras terrine (one of the three on the menu!) and the roasted pear with gorgonzola. Both appetizers were exquisite. For our main course I ordered the Pekin Duck and my boyfriend had the venison. Both dishes were delectable and expertly paired (mine came with braised cabbage and a thinly crisped potatoes, his came with polenta with blueberries and a puree of yams). I must say that the duck was the best that I have ever had- and I have had a lot of duck in my day! We finished our meal with the chocolate souffle and a peach cobbler (we couldnt help ourselves!) If you are looking for a romantic French restaurant with exceptional food and a relaxed atmosphere, I highly recommend La Cachette. I cant wait to return!
Pros: Food, service, ambiance
