AFI DALLAS International Film Festival returns March 27-April 6, 2008. Last year's festival was a blast. I've already bought my pass for this year. \r
\r
This unique eleven-day festival celebrating film will have notable and international filmmakers, actors and celebrities to taking part in nightly red carpet entrances, parties, filmmaking panels and Q&A sessions after their films at venues throughout Dallas. (Some who will be attending include Helen Hunt, Robert De Niro and director Barry Levinson, Sam Rockwell, Mickey Rooney and Charlize Theron.) \r
\r
The AFI Dallas website has a lot of information on the films (including trailers) and events. You can get tickets through the AFI Dallas website, over the phone (214-720-0663) or in person at the box office at Victory Park.
Pros: Excellent film selections, Celebs, Parties, Interesting Q&A's
Cons: Some events sell out quickly, not all films are appropriate for kids
