Review content:
We finally made it to Margot's last night! One of the last spots in town that we had not been to. The food was pretty good and they had some eccentric dishes that you wouldn't expect to find at the typical restaraunt. However, unless you are a relative of the owner do not expect to have any level of service whatsoever. It was quite clear that there are a number of regulars who frequent this restaraunt, who are tended to hand and foot. If you are a newcomer it is difficult to even get a description of a dish or have your wine glasses filled. Luckily for us, I waited tables about 15 years ago so my call to duty was met nicely with my ability to tend to our needs. It was pretty much the worst service we have EVER had. Much worse, when we told them that we were leaving to go to another restaraunt the owner just said he was sorry to hear that and went right back to chatting it up with his friends. If you ever go to Margot's I would suggest takeout. There are only five parking spots out front in the light and if you are not a relative forget about getting one of them. We were asked not to park there and then the owners buddies were parked there when we were walking out. Considering the neighborhood, kevlar would probably be appropriate. With so many fantastic restaraunts in Nashville like Watermark, Radius 10, Ruth's Chris, Park Cafe, Mambu, etc. there is no need to EVER go to a sketchy little shack like Margot's unless you have a relative that works there.
Pros: Eccentric Dishes and Menu Changes Daily
Cons: Service is absolutely atrocious beyond measure
