Review content:
We were originally quoted a 2.5 hour wait for a table of 10 tonight, but luckily people flaked and we had an hour wait for a table of 6. Unfortunately Lucille's no longer takes reservations so be prepared for a wait unless you get there early as in ""just opened for dinner 5 mins. ago early"". Very packed with many large groups of 20+ and being part of a large mall, Del Amo, there were quite a few kids as well. Drinks at the bar were nice and strong, interesting chioce of using jars as cups. We started with onion strings and stuffed jalapenos which were tasty and not too greasy. Everyone at the table had something different and no one had any complaints of the food. Spareribs and baby backs were tender and meaty. Beef ribs a little tough close to the bone but were juicy and had a lot of meat. Tri-tip was tender enough to rip apart with fingers and the 1/2 chicken was juicy and plump even the breast part. And they serve massive amounts of food for decent prices, about $25 for the BBQ combo entrees. No room for dessert so no comment on that. Great place except for the immense crowds and long wait. Service was so so, sometimes waitress would be around quickly but then would disappear for 15 min. stretches and it took about 20 mins to get coffee at the end. I would definitely recommend this place.
Pros: Very good BBQ, good prices for the massive amounts of food, nice ambiance
Cons: Very crowded, long waits, spotty service
