Review content:
The Outer Banks are beautiful. However, for a little less money and more amenities, you may want to try Topsail Island just south of the Outer Banks. It is still a barrier Island but doesn't require the long ferry ride and has more to offer in the way of dining and entertainment. (especially for kids). Surf City is where the majority of the dining and lodging is. By the way, if you fish, Topsail has excellent surf and deep sea fishing. There is also a Sea Turtle Refuge on the island that is awesome. The Outer Banks are great but also try Topsail Island.
