When I think of pub fare, I think fish and chips, burgers, maybe calamari, that kind of thing. Not so, here - I had exquisite portobello ravioli, and my (first!) date had puttanesca, (if I remember correctly), which was hearty and delicious. Menu is decidedly Italian, good variety, and the food is excellent - this place was recommended to me by two different foodie friends, and they didn't steer me wrong - I'll definitely go again! Unfortunately, I did not sample any of the beer. The atmosphere is gorgeous, historic, slightly cramped, and rather noisy, but expected for a brewery - lively, upbeat. Don't skip the cheesecake (ours was pumpkin) - it's definitely large enough for two, and well worth the caloric splurge. Great date locale - amidst the charm of Los Gatos - makes for lovely walking after dinner under the lighted trees. Pros: Superb food, historic building, love Los Gatos Cons: Busy, slightly noisy (but lively), a little more expensive than I was expecting
