I highly recommend using Quality Decorators.I had an old arm chair that I got from my grandmothers estate that I wanted to refurbish to have as a memento. It was in very poor condition (tattered fabric, collapsed springs)Iwanted to find someone who I could entrust with this sentimental piece. I searched online and found Quality. I called and spoke with a nice person named Rose who set up a home consultation to select fabrics. On the day of the appointment Steve arrived very promptly, and I selected a nice Tapestry for the chair. I was concerned that the job would be done professionally, and Steve assured me that they do all their work in their own shop , and that they have years of experience with antiques. He advised that the piece would have to be stripped to the frame and rebuilt from the ground up, and recovered. His price was a little more than I thought I would spend, but I proceeded to use his services. 3 weeks later the chair came back, and WOW ,what a transformation! It came back better than I expected.I am very pleased and hope that this small write up will help you make a confident decision on custom upholstery, David Manhattan , N.Y.
