Businiess name:  Stromnan, Sally, Dvm - Lowcountry Cat Practice

Review content:
I dropped my cat Pita off for a groom in January of this year and I remember the person referenced in the previous review. He was dressed in scrubs and identified himself as a dentist (periodontist) in this area. I came back to pick up my cat later that afternoon when Dr. Stroman was discharging this patient. It was memorable because I have been a dental hygenist for many years and I recalled being impressed with the time Dr. Stroman spent showing this man the dental lesion on his cat - she even had a dental model that she used to illustrate points. Being a dental professional, I have had bosses, human dentists, that would not have taken that level of time with a patient. I will say that because we do a lot of pediatrics in the dental practice that I work in that we often get caught between the parent that brings a child in and the other parent who calls later over the phone to complain and second guess the decisions (and related costs) that were made in the office by the other parent. Dr. Stroman is NOT expensive, I have used two other vets here in Mount Pleasant that were affiliated with each other for many years and I can tell you that Dr. Stroman's prices are very reasonable particularly in light of the amount of time and expertise that you get with them. She is the ONLY vet I have ever found who really comes to the phone, returns your calls, comes up front to speak to you. Rare these days! I have saved the hassle and expense of at least three visits with my cat just because Dr. Stroman was willing to come to the phone to ""talk me through"" the issues and save me the hassle of schlepping the cat in unnecessarily. It sounds like she's second guessing her husband's decision on treatments he authorized. I don't see how that is the fault of the vet. I wonder if the guy, being a periodontist, would examine a patient, provide a consultation and render a professional opinion without expecting to be compensated for HIS hard work? Pros: just cats, caring staff, good prices
