Review content:
I have been going to Tri-city Canvas to get tarps and supplies for my employer for the last seven years. Until yesterday the service would have been rated at about a 3 star but now it is a one star because I can't make it any lower. It started with the back flap on my 1year old tarp, tore off at the seem on Thursday night. Friday morning I called Tri-City and told them who I was and said that I needed my Tarp repaired if they could but I could not be there until a little after 2:00pm they said that was fine and they thought they would have time to fix my tarp. I arrived at about 2:10 and showed the guy I talked to on the phone the tarp. He said he forgot I had a roll over tarp but he thought his brother would still be able to do the job. When his brother came out he was very rude and short tempered about how late in the day it was. I told him it was no big deal if they couldn't fix it I would come back Monday. He said if I got the ropes untied from the right side he would do the job so I started to untie the ropes, I got about 3 untied when he came around the corner and started CUSSING me because it was so late in the afternoon and they go home at 4:30 on Fridays, I was taken back by his attitude but I said I didn't mind if they couldn't fix it I would come back next Monday or Tues but I wished I would have been told it was a big deal or I could have hauled grain. After I said that he laid down a string of F-bombs directed at me like you wouldn't believe and then told me to GET THE F OFF HIS LOT. I was in shock because I said nothing to warrant this reaction, but I turned around and started to retie the ropes. As soon as I got the first one tied he came back and said do you want the F-ing tarp fixed or not. I said yes if you can do it I need the tarp. He then said f-ing get the ropes untied and shut the f up. I was at a loss for words to say the least. He went around the left side of the trailor and came right back around and asked what the F was up with the pole that is used to roll the tarp because it had a slight bend in it. I said I don't know how that happened but it has been like that sense shortly after the last tarp was replaced ( I DID NOT SAY I BLAMED THEM FOR THE POLE BENDING,I DON""T CARE THAT THE POLE WAS BENT). He once again went into a flurry F-bombs and told me to get the F off his lot at that time his dad (the owner) came out and ask what the problem was. His son said that I blamed them for the pole and the damage done to the tarp (I NEVER DID BLAME THEM) then the old man said just get the tarp done and get him out of here. I turned around and started to untie the rest of the ropes and I shook my head in disbelief at what had just happened, then out of the blue the old man came over and got in my face and said "" DON""T YOU F-ING SHAKE YOU HEAD AT ME!"" Then he said He didn't need my money and get off his property. I turned around and started to retie the ropes and he came right back and tapped me on the shoulder and said we will take care of you, go ahead and get it untied, this was just seconds after he said leave.??? I just cut the last of the strings and got back into the truck. They got the rest of the tarp off and patched then replaced right at 4:30pm. As the son was walking away with the ladder I asked if he was finished,so I could leave, he came right up to me and said I just did a 4 f-ing hour job for you in 2 hours,( No such thing, he did 2hour job that usually takes him 4 hours) like he wanted me to thank him. I did not and as I walked away he started throwing stuff at a pile of junk next to the building, and went back to cussing me. ZAMZOW is a little more expensive but the last tarp I had of theirs lasted 7years I am lucky if I get 1 or 2 years out of Tri-City tarps and I have never been cussed at ZAMZOW.
