Hello! We have a lot in common if you just googled this! :) Reseaching all schools you are interested in is important. Rest assured, Carpe Diem of Allen, is a brand new, fully secured, SCHOOL, and not just another babysitting company. In my opinion, the teachers are maternal, and understand where you are coming from. I have placed my two young children in different schools, and this one far out weighs them. I could not believe my 4 yr. old, on the first day, ran up to the friendly director, and gave her a hug!? He had been crying (sometimes a kicking battle) with me EVERY morning at the other school at morning drop off. Trust me, I was just as shocked, and so was the director. I remember my little toddler, did not cry when being held for the first time by a new teacher either. I like how the infant room has a little sleeping area for cribs. He has since moved up to the toddler room. The curriculum is a great program - learn something new everyday! The teachers are trained to watch out for those with allergies, whether it's food, or the laundry detergent they use on their sheets. It is peanut free. CD has a library, computer lab, music room, and large activity gym for variety, so they are not confined to 1 classroom all day long. The playgrounds are age appropriate, fun, and secure. They have their own cook, so breakfast, hot lunch, and snacks are served. The other place we were at did not serve breakfast or lunch, just crackers for snacks, so let me tell you what a relief that is to not worry about packing lunches, esp. for 2 kids! Another bonus is access via webcam. OMG - how neat is that to be able to take time out of a stressful/busy day at the office, and watch your kids eat, play, and sleep! All this is included in the reasonably priced tuition. The only thing they do not have is a Before school program, which is still a little far off, but then again I look at things long term. Most of all, I think my two little toots, I mean boys, have learned so much at CD Allen - I highly recommend it! Remember, happy kids = happy parents! :)\r \r
