Review content:
A friend took me to lunch here once and I didn't know what to expect, especially since it was barely visible from the busy LaBrea street it faces and its directly next to an oil change station. I was in for a major surprise. You step into the small-ish patio to eat and you forget you're facing one of the busiest streets in LA and are next to an oil change station. The ambience is romantic and relaxing. You can imagine you're in a secret garden, having a mushroom fritatta (my favorite) and a cappuccino. I noticed for a self described ""coffee shop"" they use great plates and silverware. I think this only adds to the general care and love that obviously went into planning this restaurant. The owners clearly knew they couldn't be the biggest boys on the block, so they settled for being the most charming. Pros: food, ambience Cons: street parking, small eating area
