If honesty, integrity are as important to you as quality and price, The Piano Mill is the place for your restoration.\r
\r
I was looking to do a complete restoration to my 1925 Ivers and Pond Baby Grand Piano. I had already gotten some prices for the job and even met with some other folks, but when I met Rob, the owner of The Piano Mill, I was very impressed. Rob came out to my house and thoroughly inspected my piano, he took the time to explain what was wrong and then, in a way I could understand, explained the work that needed to be done to bring my piano back to it's origional condition. \r
\r
Rob invited me to tour his shop in Hanson, prior to any work being done, and also said I was free to stop in at any point along the way to see the progress being made on my piano. I took full opportunity of this and many times stopped by and took pictures of the restoration process. Rob even showed me the old pin block he had removed and took the time again to explain and show me why it needed replacement.\r
\r
One thing which really impressed me was his willingness to work within my budget, we worked out an agreeement which benefited both of us and he even included an number of extra things such as new casters and a few other items which went the extra mile to make the piano 100 %, all within my budget.\r
\r
The piano is now completed and back in it's spot in our living room, and she looks and sounds amazing.\r
\r
Work done included: Removing the old pin block and hand making and installing a new one. Completely refinishing and repairing the origional soundboard (which looks gorgeous). Replacing Hammers, and dampener felts and regulation action. Restringing entire Piano. Sandblasting and rebronzing the Plate, New castors, new tuning pins, veneer repair, and other smaller misc. repairs. All work was done for the contracted price we agreed to . \r
\r
Rob even included a free tuning after the piano was delivered back to my house.\r
\r
I am delighted by the quality of the work done, and even more delighted listening to my kids playing on the piano.\r
\r
I highly recommend The Piano Mill for all your piano needs, they are very fair and honest folks.\r
