Review content:
I lived in GR over half my life, and the last 6 years living in Los Angeles. I go home every few months and the first place I go to eat is Frankie V's. The bruschetta chicken pizza is unlike anything I've had anywhere (flat crust & deep dish are both delish!), and the wet burrito is better than Taco Boy & Beltline Bar combined.
The atmosphere is casual and family oriented, and really it's a fun place to go- aside from the U of M fans that congregate at the bar (the maize and blue mentality, well, there's no accounting for taste...haha), I can't think of a single negative thing to say.
Attentive and hardworking staff; prices that are more than fair (and in many cases, underpriced for what you are actually getting- fresh meat, fresh pasta, etc); and the best place to watch sports in GR, hands down. If you haven't been yet for whatever reason, I would say run don't walk- all of my family from Comstock Park to Ada to Zeeland drive across town just to eat at Frankie V's!
Two thumbs up to the Vitale family- I can't wait to try the new place in Holland when it opens, as it's SURE to be another amazing restaurant that West Michigan can be proud of!
