Review content:
I called this group to try and schedule a visit with their OBGYN group, I was told that I couldn't even make an appointment with them because I had a $70 balance from over 7 years ago. I asked them for what the balance was from and whether or not they could give me a copy of the bill and they told me no that it would take a while since the invoice was archived. In the meantime I couldn't wait I needed to find a doctor since this was my first baby and I was 40. I thought it was terrible to deny a woman medical treatment over $70 and then they couldn't even explain what the balance was for. In the end I went to Mt. Sinai and had my baby in the city, and had a wonderful experience. In my research I found Greenwich hospital, Mt. Kisco and Mt. Sinai to have great reviews as well as other OBGYN's associated with those hospitals. There are choices, Westmed is arrogant, thinking they can deny you a medical visit unless you pay upfront to even book an appt. Couldn't they book the appt and then ask you for payment before you see the doctor? Over that $70 the doctors in the group lost more than that because my insurance paid out much more, and now I am going to pediatrics as well outside of that group I will never go there to any doctors associated with that group.
