OK just a note about their ""state of the art"" computer system. Recently, I hurt myself and went to the urgent care center. I was upset and did not remember if I had gotten a shot they asked about. I told the nurse I come to WestMed all the time and to look it up and see if I had gotten the shot. She said no and gave me the shot. Later I got home (and was calmed down) and thought about it - and realized I HAD gotten the shot - there, last year! \r

Another dr in another dept found a problem and said this problem is usually caught earlier if you come for annual check-ups. I asked him what he was talking about - I was there last year for a physical and saw him!! I had also been there the 2 prior years and had seen another physician. He scrolled down on the screen and was like ""oh yeah"".\r

I agree, this is the problem with medicine today. I thought going there and seeing all their specialists and having everything on the computer would be a benefit. But it hasn't been. \r
\r
Also, I agree - it's something weird with the billing. It's like they send my insurance company the bill. They get their reimbursement and it's not enough money so they find some ""missing"" procedures and submit the claim. \r
\r
And I agree - the lab leaves much to be desired. I don't understand why the medical assistant or nurse can't draw blood. \r
\r
The place is like an assembly line and it's sad b/c they are a HUGE network of doctors and seem to have a monopoly on all specialities!
Pros: convenient if you live in westchester
Cons: not very customer centric - assembly line medicine
