I brought my first alteration to Mannikins after my usual tailor was reluctant to alter an evening gown for me due to its complicated construction. i.e. it would cost too much, take too long, and exceed the value of the dress. I went to Mannikins and Catherine (the owner) told me she could make it work, and she also made some additional suggestions which I had not considered. She did a beautiful job, and her price was very fair, especially considering my unreasonable request (in my opinion) to have it finished in a few days. Since then I have brought all of my alterations to her and have never been disappointed with the quality, cost, or time.
