I purchased a new boat from Z Marine in 2007 and was very unhappy with my experience, after agreeing on a price the owner, Steve Zino towed the boat with no cover to a local lake for a test drive, blowing diesel smoke and debris all over the interior of the boat, he then said he would take the boat back to the shop for a thorough cleaning at which point he attempted to take off options, such as a bimini and chrome mirror, which would have totaled nearly $1,000 dollars. When we told him of the missing options, he acted as though he had taken them off for additional cleaning and forgot to return them, but they were already back on his sells floor. While my buying experience was a bad one, I was forced to return for some warranty repairs a few years later, at which point he billed me, as well as the boat manufacturer and failed to do two of the repairs. After returning home with the boat we found that the speakers had been turned up and blown, our buoys were missing and our anchor line had been untied from the anchor. In short I would neither buy from or utilize the repair shop at Z Marine, as they are both unprofessional and dishonest.
