Review content:
My fiancé and I called around for limousine services for the evening of March 19, 2011. It came down to two companies that both advised they would take us from the Country Club of Petersburg to our home in Chester, VA for $180 total. We decided to go with Celebrities International, Inc. The owner, Randy, is the person I talked to originally and then confirmed with – his is the number listed on the website. When I called to make the reservation on 3/16, he stated he would have the office call to set everything up. I missed the initial call at 9:52 am and quickly called the office at 804-233-8300 at 9:54am. The person in the office requested the pickup address and was asking for the credit card information before asking for the drop off address. I questioned this so that we can ensure the price given two days ago would be the final price. The office person took the information and then I provided the credit card information. He stated he would call the owner to verify the information and if it was anymore than $180 he would call me back that day. Just to verify I called the company 1:07pm and the office person verified it was only $180. We heard back from the company Friday night around 7:40pm to verify the information and to ensure they would be there Sat night at 10pm. The company then called my fiancé twice on Sat 3/19, once to confirm directions on how to get to the location. The final time was 2 hours before our wedding in which they informed him that it was going to cost an additional $108 because it was not point to point in Richmond. At this point we had provided the information to them 3 times that the pickup location was in Petersburg and the drop off location was in Chester and we had no other options. I called the limousine company back to confirm the information and the person in the office stated that the information was straightened out and everything was ok. When I check my debit transactions there was still only the $180 charged. The limo was there at the time arranged and the driver dropped us off and had me sign the credit card slip for $180; there was another slip on there for $108 in which the driver said had to be for the wrong person because the price on the contract showed it would only cost $180. There was another transaction for $108 when I check on Sunday. I called the office today and they advised to call the owner Randy. I called and talked to Randy and was advising the information when he told me that he was not going to argue with me and actually hung up while I was speaking to him. They purposely left us no choice by waiting until the day of the event. Randy said it himself when he said “your fiancé could have said no but then there would have been no limo.” I don’t mind paying the $180 that was agreed upon twice but the additional amount was trapping us. Either pay this or don’t have a ride home that was already agreed upon.
