Businiess name:  Blue Door Pub

Review content:
Sitting on the corner of Selby and Fairview, nestled amongst stores that sell items from the past, this place is a breath of fresh air and a perfect fit all at the same time. Parking during the day was a breeze and even during busy times I can't imagine that you'd have to walk any further than a half block from your car door to the pub's entrance. On the inside, the bar packs quite the jab per square foot. The Blue Door Pub is a busy but cozy, small neighborhood bar that's teeming over with a very casual, come-as-you-are atmosphere. Conversation dominates the air and it can get quite noisy but it's within reason and to be expected in a place where good conversation and food is to be enjoyed. And speaking of food: it is delicious. The hamburger with the molten cheese center--the Jucy Lucy--is a Minneapolis invention that has been perfected in St. Paul. The Breakfast Blucy, a Jucy Lucy that comes with double cheese, thick-cut bacon and an egg on top, is an over-the-top take on the old standard and the beer-battered deep-fried green beans--served with the obligatory side of ranch dressing--are some of the best I've had. After finishing my burger, and I'm not kidding, I felt very tempted to order another, it was that good. And you can't have a tasty burger without a crisp, cold beer: The beer selection is very Twin Cities metro with servings from Summit, Surly and Lift Bridge Brewery, with some other well chosen non-Minnesotan tap choices to round everything out. The prices on both the beer and the food are very reasonable and happy hour specials on the beer are absolutely insane. The only problem that I can see with the Blue Door is how busy it can get, but it is worth the wait, and should be expected with a place done up as well as they've done with this one. Pros: Delicious food, great taps, lots of parking nearby. Cons: Can be very busy.
