Review content:
Definitely interesting. I took advantage of a Gilt promotion that offered 3 events. I've been to two and thought I would chime in on my experience thus far.
1. I really think the venues are some of the best in the city and it's nice not to have to spend a weeks worth of rent on dinner just to check out the locale.
2. I have a boss from hell. For two of my events I had to reschedule last minute because my boss would decide that we had to stay late. The matchmaking office was nice and tried to be accommodating both times. Once they let me reschedule and for the second one, it was like a half hour before the night was to begin so I couldn't carry that over. But I appreciated their gestures.
3. Both times I went I had the makeover before the event. Neither time did I have a lot done, but did manage to get a bit spruced up which was fun. The girl was very sweet and def. made me feel special.
4. The crowd seemed really down to earth at both events. I found 2 guys I wanted to hang out with again at the 1st event I attended and 1 guy on my second event.
5. At the break, the hosts offer passed appetizers. That rocked!
Now for the not so great;
1. Events are booked solid which makes it hard to reserve and even harder if you have to reschedule which I did. They do their best to try to fit in everyone but with my schedule always in the air, I found it to be hard.
2. It can get really, really loud. As soon as the event starts there is this loud hum of everyone talking that it sounds like I've entered the animal kingdom!
3. It seems nearly all the events are during the week. Kinda of annoying as a Friday night or Saturday night event for me would work out really well. I wouldn't have to worry about m aking it there on time and would be nice to make it a girls night out with a girlfriend.
4. It would be great to have the option of a makeover or a drink. The places are super nice so drinks are super expensive. Maybe if we had the option of either or - we could decide better.
5. I don't know if this is possible, but it would be a super plus if we could know who we matched with that night. I'm not sure how this would go down, but I'm thinking I'm already out and about and if there's a guy here who I like and who likes me - why wait to get back to where we are now?!?
