Review content:
I heard so much about this place. I just had to try it out. I never really noticed the restaurant before. I had to look up the address ahead of time. The sign should probably be changed. Despite the fact that the restaurant hasn't been around for ages, there is an old, classic diner feel. There are pictures of Forest Hills from way back when. The booths are also green, which matches the trees outside. The place was fairly packed for a Sunday evening...perhaps this is why the service was so strange. The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because I've never had such distant service at a pizza place before. I'm accustomed to friendly Italians, not sarcastic assgrabbers who refuse to give you any kind of eye contact. \r \r The pizza itself was great. It wasn't the best I've had in my entire life, but probably the best I'll have in Queens. It's not traditional New York style, in my opinion. The crust is unique, and agreeing with another reviewer, the crust is very naan-like. It is probably best not to get a delivery or take out because the top of the pizza gets cold and soggy after a short while. The crust gets hard and flaky. It is best to dine in and enjoy the unique flavor. The sauce was excellent. The toppings were all very fresh. \r \r Keep in mind that you have to order the entire pie. You also have to pay in cash. \r \r I didn't feel particularly rushed, but I do know that the staff was way more concerned about the customers coming in than the customers who were actually dining. Perhaps I'll return on a weekday. Pros: Taste of the pizza, Location, Price Cons: Service
