Review content:
I purchased a home built by Childs Construction and Randy Young Construction. \r
\r
My home had over a thousand nail pops in it. Bob came to my house along with Randy and told me that they were not nail pops. In order for it to be considered a nail pop, the nail has to be popped out approximately 1/4 inch past the wall. He went through and marked the ones he would fix and had a guy come in and repair them. The guy just dug the putty out and reputtied it. He then barely sanded the walls and told me that he was ready to paint.\r
\r
I refused to let them paint my house. You would have been able to see all of the patches, and the nails would have popped back out again.\r
\r
The steps on my front porch had pulled away from the foundation, he replaced the steps, and less than a year later they have pulled away even further and the cement is now cracking.\r
\r
I had to talk to a lawyer to get Bob and Randy to make me happy. The lawyer told me all kinds of horror stories about buildings Childs has built. Tooele City can't stand him so much that when he wins a contract, the City will rebid just to keep Childs from building another structure for them.
