i've been traveling the 5 state region for 18 years and have stayed in some seedy places along the way, but this one is the worst i've ever been involved with. oh yes, the lobby area beckons you with its newly rehabbed look and its ""upscale"" demeanor, but BEWARE!! looks are decieving. let's talk ""bait and switch"" to its max. the people at the front desk were in ""la-la land"" pertaining to on-line booking. they had no idea that their advertised ""double suite"" was posted at a very reasonable rate because their double SUITE was every other motel's double room! two double beds crammed into a space built for one bed and a small sitting area. Hampton, Holiday Inn, La Quinta, Comfort, and even America""s Best Value Inn would have been embarrassed by this room. i've stayed in Motel 6s and several independents that are MUCH nicer than this dive. the sheets, floor, bathroom, and walls were filthy and delapidated. the service (especially housekeeping) was deplorable at best. i feel deeply sorrowful for those that have no choice but to reside in this hole for a long period of time (and there were several such folks; probably more extended stayers than ""passing thru - ers""). my wife and i both were reasonable in our complaints to the front desk about the room and the fact that our particular nest wasn't tended to AT ALL by housekeeping. all we got for an answer was ""there's nothing we can do"". no offer of a comp or even a different room (probably because the others were worse than this one). \r
this joint was the worst experience of my long lifetime. i'm very regretful and embarrased to utter the fact that i actually stayed here. DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE! find another 20 bucks or so and go across the street.
