I took in two sunglass frames to have prescription lenses placed. They came recommended by Costco! They said it would take one week. One of the frames didn't have a ""frame"" and the lady said I had to buy a better lens that cost $200, I said okay as I got the Coach frame for only $70! The Coach came back with the wrong lens so after a few times of me saying I didn't approve, she finally said she would re-do them. A week later I left a message asking if they were ready. She said they would be ready the following day and they would call - no call came so I decided to go in - 10:20am and they are supposed to be open at 10, but closed. Went back at noon only to find out the lens was cut a little off (prior to placing in frame), but it would still work so I said go ahead. Then when I go back to pick them up about 30 minutes later - he broke the lens. He said it was ""cheap"" lens and I told him I had paid for top-of-the-line lens - $200! He didn't respond and said that he ordered me a ""better"" lens. I again stated I was told I had purchased the best lens for this frame, again no answer to that question. So I asked when they would be ready, he told me a week. I will definitely take this lens to my regular eye doctor and have him verify I got what I paid for. I'm skeptical.\r ALSO, when I first went in I was also looking to get a spare pair of eye glasses, I was told they were having a special for $100 I could get exam and frame/lens. I made an appointment for the following week. I arrive only to find they don't even have my appointment, but the guy at the desk said he could do it. He asks for my existing glasses and places them in a thing that tells him what the prescription is. He does a few test (nothing like my regular doctor) and states my eyes have only slightly changed. Then he pulls out the ""special"" frames (for the $100) and they look like they are for kids, they are so small, and the styles are like 5 years old. But I managed to find one that will work as a spare. One week goes by, no call. Another week later I decide to call to check status - yes they are in. The spare pair is fine, but I am never going back after this experience (I had done all - including sunglasses at the same time) - now I know better.
