Review content:
My husband and I usually came here for Saturday night dinners every two to three weeks. Tonight, after a month's absence, we discovered that they'd remodeled. Walls were removed, joining the bar and restaurant sections and removing a lot of the Italian decor. They've added are huge TVs on both sides of the restaurant and ""bar specials"" with $2 beers and 25-cent chicken wings (you remember chicken wings, that oh-so-Italian speciality? NOT!) \r \r They're evidently trying to become BJs. But it's so loud that you can't easily carry on a conversation, and you can't hear the music unless you're in the rest room. If I want to go to a sports bar, I'll go to one. But I thought this was an Italian restaurant, no?\r \r And to top it off, our trainee waiter ignored us and spent ten minutes chatting up his friends at an adjacent table. Meanwhile, ONE HOUR passed between being seated and receiving our main courses. (No explanation from our vanished waiter.) Finally, another waitresses took pity on us; she refilled our drinks and offered more bread. Granted, the food was good as always--but I refuse to pay $50 for lousy service.\r \r I hope management realizes that when you serve $2 beers, you get....drunks, and all the problems that come with them. I wish management success with its new business model, because we won't be back any time soon. \r \r \r
