My 1 year old was diagnosed with trigger finger, and this guy only pushed hard for surgery. Why? I would imagine to line his own pockets. \r

During the ""consultation,"" he sat across the room staring down at his notes probably doodling and never bothering to look at me or my child. Unsatisfied with his bare bones explanation of the surgical procedure, I went home to do some research on the internet. I was shocked to learn that most doctors do not advise surgery on children less than 2 years old. \r

The next day, I called Ding to ask for a prescription for anti-inflammatory ointment and a splint so that I could try the conservative approach at least until my child reached the age of 2. He refused to cooperate and reminded me of the consequences of postponing surgery, so I went to another doctor for a second opinion. As you might have guessed, the other doctor was also shocked by Ding's position. \r

My child has since recovered from the condition with stretching and splinting.
