May of 09, I took my 2005 Toyota in for break service. I was charged $20 to inspect the vehicle for things other than breaks. I figure, what the heck and said OK. This must have marked me as “Mr Gullible” and it showed in the estimate they gave me.\r \r My Toyota just went over 60K miles of mostly highway commute to my work 25 miles away. They told me it needed both front and back rotor replaced. It is not usual but not exactly unheard of. They also told me my power steering was leaking. I got little bit suspicious. I never have seen any tell tale stains on my driveway. They up the ante by telling me they cannot let me drive out in such an unsafe car. What tipped me off was when they told me I need new tires. I spent close to $1,000 at Costco less than a year and 15K miles ago for a new set of tires. That was total proof these guys are cons.\r \r I drove away in my extremely unsafe car to a dealership. Dealer resurfaced the rotors and did not find any problem with my power steering and tires. They may not con you every time especially if you look like you know about cars. But if you are little old lady who appears to know noting about cars, I am sure they will con you.\r Pros: No much Cons: See below
