Businiess name:  Sushi Den

Review content:
I feel that The Sushi Den has fallen prey to the temptation to raise prices while lowering the size of their portions (or have the customers fallen prey)? I used to love ""the den"" but have been there two times recently and have been very disappointed. The quality is still okay but the portions have been reduced while the prices have continued to rise. I gave it a second chance after my first experience just to give them another shot as it used to be one of my favorite sushi joints. In my opinion they are taking advantage of their reputation as ""the place to be seen"" and the loyal customers are the losers. If you want to be seen or make an impression on a date it's the place to go but I feel there are better places for the sushi. I lived in Japan for 4 years and know my sushi. My choice for the best sushi is Sushi Ukoro in Golden on Colfax. I actually had a friend recently tell me she didn't like how BIG the portions were. Too hard to bite...WHAT? :-) They also do a fantastic job dressing the rolls with very interesting ingredients. Their other Japanese selections are fantastic also. Pros: go for the atmosphere Cons: stay away because of the prices and portions
