Review content:
Sushi Den is the restaurant my brother and sister in law bring me every time I'm in Denver (I live in Seattle where sushi RULES!!!). The first few times I was impressed by the modern beautiful decor because I'm used to a more traditional sushi house. The sushi was innovative and fresh...downright delicious! But the last few times we've been, I have been very disappointed. The wait time is excruciating (bring walking shoes so you can wander around the cute neighborhood to waste time), the staff that ""greets"" you is very unfriendly, and the service is extremely slow. Seems like the wait staff has a big turnover, because we always have a new waiter. I'd rather go to a good traditional sushi house where I'm treated with Japanese friendliness, and bypass the scenesters and snobs that go to Sushi Den.
Pros: Delicious creative sushi, fun date place
Cons: wait time is insane, service is slow
