Review content:
Sushi rolls excellent, entrees of Ahi and Scallops also excellent. Wait was predicted at 7 PM to be 25-30 min, but was 40 min. Was there on Tuesday,8/22/2006, my birthday. The main problem at 7:40 PM was the extreme noise by mobs of peope seated and queuing 3-deep at the bar just behind our table. There was a window table, empty but not yet cleaned when we were seated 2 tables out from it, which I requested to wait for, but was told we couldn't have it. Five min. later, Tom Strickland, well-known candidate for Senate, appeared at that table with his daughter. We did not see him waiting outside or inside when we went in. I voted for him twice, and introduced myself. Obviouslty preferential seating!\r
\r
My main complaint was the NOISE, which I would estimate at about 90 DECIBELS , and which actually hurt our ears!\r
\r
Weather was pleasant outside, with a cool breeze that evening, and there were benches available. The socialites patronizing businesses North of Den hogged the sidewalks as if they owned them. We had parked 1 1/2 blks NW on a side street. Hate Valet Parking.\r
\r
If you can tolerate the see and be seen atmosphere on the sidewalk and inside the restaurant, it is excellent food. Previously we have always gone at opening time, and were seated immediatly. I would not call it an intimate dining experience, given that I could hear the people at the table to our right shouting at each other in order to communicate. Best to go there during high time and not expect to have a conversation with your companion.
