Review content:
I've lived in Arvada for several years now and knew about City Pizza and finally was able to stop in to give it a shot. I was very impressed! Being originally from St. Louis, and knowing the owner is also from STL, I was expecting some more STL memorabilia hanging around. But it was good to see support of our local schools and pro sports teams.
The St. Louis style pizza is modeled after the popular Imo's Pizza chain. They are known for their very thin crust and square cuts. Their cheese is absolutely amazing and the pizza was just as good as Imo's. I prefer a thick crust any day, but this one is an exception for me.
One thing that City Pizza really needs to advertise harder is their toasted ravioli. I've lived in the Denver area for 17 1/2 years and been to many Italian restaurants and I always get a ""what are you talking about"" look when I ask if they have toasted ravioli. Folks, this is the ONLY restaurant in the entire Denver Metro area (that I know of) that has toasted ravioli. And of course, it is really good! An order of ten just might not be enough!
Even if you don't live in Arvada, a trip to CP&P is well worth it. There is very limited seating inside so it's rather cozy and intimate. If you ask nicely they might even turn on the LCD TV they just got; especially if a baseball game happens to be on!
So get to CP&P, support local small business, and get quality pizza and toasted ravioli in return for a reasonable price.
