In all my 30+ years, the best pizza I've ever had, and ever will have, hands down. I've had some of the very best pizza from LA to NY, and there are obviously many different regional styles (NY thin, Chicago deep, LA gourmet, etc). I have ""favorites"" in each style/region, but its Riverbank's take on what I'd lovingly call ""generic American"" pizza that rules them all, coast to coast.\r

Anyone that lives in Colusa county likely already knows about this place (it's been there since the mid 80s, and is one of the few pizza joints in the county AFAIK), so I'm writing this for the pie-lovers like myself that would gladly take a 20 minute detour off the I-5 freeway for a taste of the very best.\r
\r
If you find yourself on the I-5 between Sacramento and Chico, you owe it to yourself to take a quick detour into Colusa and try a good-ol' pepperoni with extra sauce (they have many, many creative topping choices, but their pie is so good that a plain pepperoni - - something I'd normally never order from anyone, ever - - is amazing).\r
\r
All pie lovers should Google-map this place right now and keep that map handy. If you ever find yourself within an hour's drive of Colusa, I highly recommend you give this very unassuming and unlikely home to the king of all pizzas a try.
Pros: Hands down, one of the best pizza joints on the planet. Amazing quality, amazing taste, highly addictive.
Cons: Only a few thousand folks live near this place, the rest of us are in for a drive. The interior decore is really fun and clean, but (like any pizza place) not a place to impress dates.
