I really don't understand some of the reviews for this restaurant on this site. Complaints about the size and the price of the pies? One word for you ""dudes""...Dominoes. I hear they have a ""Brooklyn Style"" pie and I'm sure the price will be right for you. What you do get at Anthonys is a pizza made from people that know the importance of quality, not just in the ingredients, but in the preparation as well. Plus, the prices are on par with all the ""gourmet"" pizza places around the city. As for the service, I've been eating here for about a year now and I feel like family when I walk in. As for the ""I'm from NY and I know pizza"" line that you hear every so often, let me set a few things straight... I'm from New Haven, home of Sally's and Pepe's, and have been eating NY pizza for the past 15 years as well. Grimaldi's and Lombardi's are both completely over-rated, when you hear someone spout off about either of those places, it's a good chance that you're trusting the opinion of a person who gets their thoughts from a Zagats guide. You want the best pie in Manhattan, go to Patsy's, not the rip-offs, the real one on 118th and 1st. You want the best pie in all 5 boro's, go to DiFara's in Midwood, BK. And if you want the best pizza (and great food as well) in Park Slope and the neighborhoods around it, go to Anthony's. You want a big pizza for a cheap price, call Pizza Hut and stop talking like you know anything about pizza. Pros: Great service, incredible food. Cons: Fills up quick on weekend nights.
