Review content:
WOW....I've been coming to Manning's about once a year since I was about 7 with my family. It's an old hang out of my Dad's when he lived and worked in the Twin Cities briefly. I took my girlfriend there for the first time a couple days ago and both of us were impressed with the food (as I always have been) I had a good old cheese-burger. The first thing I like is that you get a choice of what kind of cheese you would like on the burger. Not something I find too often. Second, the burger is served on what I call a real cheeseburger bun. NO SESAME SEEDS. I ordered a half-order of Manning's home made onion rings. Delicious batter. My companion ordered the special of the day which for that day was a ribeye sandwich. Perfect, tender, and served on a delicious hoagie roll. The atmosphere of this place just adds to the traditional tavern type food. Wood panelling walls and a diverse clientele. There were blue collar workers, college students, retired persons, and a few shirts and ties. All around great place to be. I can only imagine the excitement in this place during a football game...
Pros: Service was very good, food is tasty, free popcorn, sit in bar or sit in cafe...
Cons: My stomach is only so big....
