I used to love Home Depot. You can't deny that they have a wide variety of products to choose from. But I completely changed my mind after a nightmare experience I had with a special flooring order. The order arrived late, and when it did arrive, it was the wrong stuff. When they reordered, they ordered the wrong stuff again! Each time, I had to drive all the way back to Home Depot, hauling the wrong stuff back myself. I must have gone their six or seven times before it all got worked out. After talking to friends, I realized I am not the only one that has had an experience like this with Home Depot. If possible, stick with your local, small hardware store. It's easier to find things, and they will probably give you much better service. Pros: Large selection, Low prices Cons: Poor customer service, Hard to find things
