Only good words about our experience with TKO. \r We were touring the Midwest this August and ran out of rear break pads while driving through Keweenaw peninsula. The closest Honda dealership to service our Odyssey on the fly was in Marquette so we drove cautiously there and as we arrived the front-left pads started grinding. To our surprise we found that not only the dealership couldn't accommodate us (being booked for the next 2 weeks) but any other 7 shops we called in the city couldn't do anything for at least 2 days. We decided to get the parts from NAPA (front pads and rear discs+pads) and hopefully find a shop as we continued our trip. We found out about TKO at the Cost Cutters across the street, from a hairdresser Ashley - she and her colleagues jumped to help out after hearing my story. We called TKO right away and although they were booked as well, they recognized our urgency and squeezed us in, promising that we would be on our way by 5PM. \r Needless to say that, considering the circumstances, I was expecting to be painfully charged for the favor at this point. I mean: tourists from Minnesota caught in a car emergency while no one else would help out. Contrary to our fears, these guys not only gave us a price I could barely find in our own city, they gave us multiple options for repair after inspecting the van. As I usually do my own car maintenance and these sort of simple repairs, I am capable of discerning that their evaluation was very honest and they didn't have to install the new rear discs I bought, only grind the front ones for $20. \r The personnel was also extremely courteous, being concerned with giving us options and ideas to pleasantly spend our time in the area while waiting for the repair. \r To be honest, we were expecting this kind of treatment from the Honda dealership where more than likely it would have cost double too, but they were too busy to help. \r Thank you TKO again for recognizing a family in trouble and not taking advantage of the situation while being so hospitable when no one else would help out. \r You should know that you represent Marquette, MI with great pride. \r Leo and family, Twin Cities, MN \r
