My first experience with Alternate Worlds was a few years back, where, yes, the employees were rude and without social graces. But these days, the store is pretty sweet
The owners are lovely people who are happy to help, knowledgeable about everything the store offers, even remember names and faces. It's a cute, tight-knit community yonder and I've recommended, and will continue to recommend, this store to anyone with like interests and hobbies. Their inch deep selection is made up for by their mile-wide hobby and genre span: multiple tabletop strategy gaming books and supplies, hosting a weekly card gaming tournament, various action figure, statuette and other media memorabilia available, a great range of comic books from traditional Marvel and DC to the avant-garde, posters, dice, and so on. It's a treasure vault of toys and games for the fantasy-driven soul, and the location is convenient (and safe!).
