Review content:
I am sorry, I can not concur with those who praise Golden Valley. We were there on June 30, 2012 and my sweet and sour chicken pieces were quite hard. I didn't complain, should have. Also they had precious few vegetables in there. I would expect more vegetables in it. Just a few thin strips of possibly carrot and some onions. They were pretty miserly with the sweet and sour sauce as well (compared to what I've had everywhere else). The larger chicken pieces I could not eat because I could not cut them with a fork and I was issued no knife-they were too big for one bite! My wife says they were overcooked...as she tried one. I just let it go. It's really easy to overcook chicken. I NEVER had sweet and sour chicken be anything but great at any other Chinese Restaurant, including The Peking Gourmet in suburban Virginia, where George Herbert Walker Bush once ate. If you ever get back there, it's on Route 7 just northwest of Bailey's Crossroads in Falls Church. I give Golden Valley an F on my dinner.
