I'm from the Ice Coast and take one monumental trip out West each year and last March I fell in love with Mammoth! We got a foot of snow every day we were there (7 ft total)! I'm an easy going snowboarder but because of the powder I rode trails I would NEVER ride here. I rode chutes, rode chair 23, did the cornice thing (not gracefully - but went for seconds), trees etc... I would come back each year. There are so many lifts you can get any where. I think the longest we waited on line was 8 min. The staff was helpful with directions - they knew how to get you where you wanted to be. And the deal was sweetened with a great center of town with a great shuttle system. Experience it for yourself. Worth the trip and I'm coming from New Jersey! Pros: mtn terrain, snow quality, lift placement Cons: windy
