Review content:
It is well worth the long haul from S.F. or LA. We travel from OH. It is a skiers location, not a glitzy night club stop. Snow is more predictable than in Rockies, and the 3500 skiable acres make for a lot of variety. Mammoth really caters to snowboarders too, but their areas are separated, so there is not a high degree of mixing of skis and boards.
Pros: great snow, short lines, great family place
Cons: long haul from cities
