Review content:
We heard about this place through my son in law's friend. I saw a couple positive reviews of this restaurant, so we thought we'd give it a try. We get there and the location is a dive, but I've been to a few dive's and food was excellent. We each order something different, I had the lemon shrimp, it tasted like lemon flour and pourly fried. My daughter had the cajun shrimp, which was too sweet and no spice. The other daughter had the stead, which was a poor cut of meat, and for $20.00 we could have had a nice one at Outback. My son-in-law had the fried catfish, which was undercooked. The kids had nuggest which were clearly from McDonalds, and fried to crisp. All this served with a plain rice (not pilaf as it appeared to resemble) and beans (no flavor). The fries, and hush puppies were good and served at each table (in place of bread/butter), but would have been better w/the meal itself. The calamari we ordered was tasteful. We finally got ready to leave and ordered the peach cobbler, which was dough, can peaches and poor grade of vanilla ice cream. For the price we paid I expected so much more. My meal 22.00 tax/tip for 10 fried prawns, rice and beans was a waste of money. We barely finished our meals, and i treated my grandsons to ice cream elsewhere afterwards. We will not be coming back. I write this review because the one before was clearly written by a relative :)
